It happens every year...well at least for the past seven years! The Annapolis Film Festival is bringing more than 70 films to Annapolis March 21st to 24th and we sat down with the founders once again to see what was in store for their seventh go around of this fantastic event that has brought millions to the area economy!
Tchaico Omawale is the writer, producer, and director of Solace. We spoke a little bit about the film and how real the characters are, the struggles they face and how they mimic some of her own as she was growing up as the child of a UN employee living across the globe. Solace is about a 17-year old girl, Sole, who is sent to live with her grandmother after her father's death. The relationship is toxic and the film examines the struggles between the two as Sole tries to find her way and her crew. It has been banded as a coming of age movie, but deep down, this is so much more! Omawale will be present at the screening and will be hosting a Q&A afterwards!
Solace screens at 2:45pm on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at St. Johns College Key Auditorium!
