The cost of living in Maryland is staggering. But, when you live in a state that has the country's best flag, what would you expect? So how do you level the playing field? Raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour might be a good start, right? Welp, it's a little more complicated than that when you're a small-business owner.
Jared Littmann, owner of K&B True Value and former alderman of Ward 5 in Annapolis, could be described as a Progressive Democrat. But he's not a fan of HB 166, which would raise the minimum wage by almost 50%. He must have a pretty good reason for this, right? He does. Jared breaks down what this legislation would mean from the perspective of someone who owns a family-run business.
