When an Annapolitan says "Boat Show" it can elicit several
responses from a groan to a slamming door from a boater on the way
to the show!
We sit down with Paul Jacobs who is the GM and one of the owners of
the Annapolis Boat Shows and talk about THE shows in the fall that
are so crucial to the maritime industry in Annapolis and are the
gold standard for in-water shows worldwide.
We talk about history, what it mean financially to the City of
Annapolis, how it has grown, what is new, and what the future looks
like.
We talk about the different types of boaters and what they are
looking for, how to survive the great recession by selling larger
boats (doesn't seem logical does it?), and a bunch more!
Finally, we talk about two upcoming (smaller) boat shows. The
Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show from April 20-22 and the Bay Bridge
Boat Show on Kent Island from April 27-29.
And, if you would like to attend either of these shows---be one of
the first five to
send us an email asking for a pair of tickets!
Please specify which show..and include your mailing address so we
can get them out to you!
